Description

BIOSWING Propriomed ® is the sensorimotor oscillating cane with multi-finished spring steel , damping elements and easily adjustable frequency regulators for optimal dosage of exercise intensity.

The oscillation frequencies and therefore the difficulty of the exercises can be adjusted continuously, symmetrically and asymmetrically.

The BIOSWING Propriomed ® was launched on the market in 1999 as the first oscillating cane and from the beginning was aimed at therapeutic use . Its development began in the mid-90s in close collaboration between the company's founder, Eduard Haider, and physiotherapists active in practice and science, as well as doctors specializing in orthopedics, neurology, geriatric medicine and physical and rehabilitation medicine.

The effect:

Swinging the BIOSWING Propriomed ® forces the neuromuscular system to adapt to the frequencies of the cane . The neurophysiological effect is manifested by elevated afferent nerve pathways that trigger efferent impulses that act on the muscles at a measured stimulus density, resulting in the stimulation of synergistic muscle activation.

A healthy and therefore effective neuromuscular system is capable of maintaining the specified frequencies without losing control of the body , since the level of oscillation remains constant. This effect is of crucial importance for all stability requirements that apply to the musculoskeletal system in vertical alignment against gravity.

In this way , the sensitivity of the motor cybernetics can be precisely optimized , both by means of damping and by individually adjustable regulation of the natural frequency of the stick.

How is Propriomed used in rehabilitation?

The Propriomed swing bar is used in rehabilitation to improve the patient's stability and balance. It is a tool that consists of a horizontal bar that swings in a controlled manner and that the patient must hold with their hands while standing on a stable surface . The goal is for the patient to maintain balance and stability while the bar moves, which helps strengthen muscles and improve coordination and body control. Additionally, the swing bar can also be used to perform strength and resistance exercises , making it a versatile tool for rehabilitation.

Options:

The BIOSWING Propriomed ® 100 (gray) is the special 100 cm long swinging cane for the rehabilitation of hands, elbows, shoulders, cervical and children . The lightweight cane, designed for low oscillation amplitudes with a frequency spectrum of 4.8 to 6.0 Hz, has a frequency regulator on each side and three twisted spring wires to dampen oscillations in a joint-friendly way.

The BIOSWING Propriomed ® 1 (yellow) is 190 cm long and has two continuously adjustable frequency regulators on each side. With its frequency spectrum of 3.0 to 4.0 Hz, the beginner's therapy stick covers the relevant frequencies for most patients in neuro-orthopedic rehabilitation.

Maintenance:

MDR2017 Certificate
All BIOSWING Propriomed ® are Class I medicinal devices in Europe and can be disinfected by wiping them with all standard disinfectants according to the VAH (Association for Applied Hygiene) list, for your safety and that of your patients.
