CONTENT:
- Previous theoretical concepts: 1 hour
- Introduction to biomechanics: What is biomechanics? What does objective assessment bring to the clinical setting? How does it complement our approach to the patient and why do we need precision in decision-making?
- What is XClinic?: Objective variables that it provides us, such as implementing clinical use in the consultation without reducing effective treatment time. Objectivity in the assessment and evolution of the patient.
- How is the XCLINIC system used? (30 min): We will see how in a short time, you can learn how to use an objective, affordable and reliable system for assessing strength and movement. You will see how in 5 minutes, you can perform tests and deliver reports to the patient for their assessment, progress and treatment, and it is also a marketing tool for correct treatment.
- Practice: Clinical cases in the use of the equipment (1 hour and 15 minutes)
- Assessment of cervical pain (microtraumatic or spontaneous origin)
- Assessment of treatment of ACL or LLE ankle ligament pathology.
- Use of data in physiotherapy or expert reports.

Teachers:
- Néstor Pérez Mallada: EU Associate Professor - Doctor of the University School of Nursing and Physiotherapy, Physiotherapy Department. Professor Néstor Pérez Mallada graduated in physiotherapy in 1998 and obtained a PhD in Biomedicine and Health Sciences from the European University of Madrid in 2008. He combined university teaching, clinical care (public and private) and research until September 2009, when he joined the San Juan de Dios School of Nursing and Physiotherapy, part of the Comillas Pontifical University, as Head of Physiotherapy Studies. He left his position as Head of Physiotherapy Studies in January 2017 to focus his professional development on research using biomechanical tools and specialized teaching activities. After several international visits in the last 10 years in more than 10 countries and a 2-month international stay in Canada (University of Manitoba) in the state of Manitoba, I continue to be a teacher, researcher and business advisor. In addition, I am collaborating in multidisciplinary educational innovation projects where I have led an interuniversity Mooc on Biomechanics and teaching innovation https://moocs.comillas.edu/ . Within the Assessment of Elite Athletes and Injury Detection, I am actively collaborating in the development of new biomechanical protocols adapted to injury prevention. I maintain close collaboration with companies in the sector and developers of new hardware, software as well as training in the use of biomechanical equipment in labour, sports, expert and clinical sectors.
- Raúl Martín Coto: Associate Collaborator - Graduate of the University School of Nursing and Physiotherapy, Physiotherapy Area. Professor Raúl Coto Martín graduated in physiotherapy in 2020. He specialized in Biomechanics and Sports Physiotherapy, graduating from said Master's degree in 2021. Since September 2021, he has combined teaching in postgraduate sports physiotherapy experts with clinical care in the lower categories of Atlético de Madrid until September 2023, at which time he joined as a teacher at the San Juan de Dios School of Nursing and Physiotherapy Integrated into the Comillas Pontifical University. Since October 2023, he has been doing his Doctoral Thesis within the Health, Well-being and Bioethics Doctorate program thanks to the predoctoral scholarship granted by the Comillas Pontifical University.
