Course aimed at qualified health professionals (physiotherapists, doctors, podiatrists, etc.).

What you will need:

- Enroll in the course

- Desire to learn

Content:

General objective: To develop advanced skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound, with emphasis on the systematic exploration of the peripheral nervous system, integrating ultrasound anatomy, clinical correlation and practical application in physiotherapy.

Module 1: Advanced Fundamentals of Ultrasound

• Advanced ultrasound settings (frequency, focus, gain, Doppler).
• Useful artifacts in the study of the nervous system.
• Image optimization in deep and complex structures.
• Ergonomics and positioning.

Module 2. Systematic approach to advanced ultrasound examination of the peripheral nervous system

- Upper limb

• Brachial plexus (accessible levels).
• Median nerve.
• Ulnar nerve.
• Radial nerve and branches.
• Relevant cutaneous nerves.
• Frequent entrapments and compression syndromes.

-Lower limb:

• Lumbar and sacral plexus (ultrasound view).
• Femoral and saphenous nerves.
• Sciatic nerve and divisions.
• Tibial and peroneal nerves.
• Nerves of the ankle and foot.
• Frequent compression syndromes.

Module 3. Advanced Echo-anatomy: Related Complex Anatomical Structures

• Nerve-muscle-fascia interfaces.
• Relationship with vessels (use of Doppler).
• Conflicting anatomical spaces.
• Common anatomical variations.

Module 4. Clinical Applications

• Support for ultrasound-guided invasive therapy.
