Peripheral and Central Vision Perimeter: Equipment to calculate the integrity of the central field of vision

This manual perimeter allows the calculation of the central visual field at 30° when other methods are impractical. It consists of a double-sided card with a concentric circle test on each side .

Technical characteristics:

- This test is portable and does not require electrical power .

- The numbered perimetry technique makes the exam easy to manage .

Instructions for use:

Each side features a central spur surrounded by a series of numbered targets. The patient looks at all the numbered targets in succession, so that the stimulus moves around the 30 relevant areas of the visual field. While the patient looks at the selected target, the examiner turns a dial where there is a black dot on a white background that appears briefly in the central window of the test card. The blind spot is used as a control. To one side of the test card is an occluder attached by an arm to ensure that the patient is at the correct distance.
