Description

Device for focused shockwave therapy - highly efficient and non-invasive treatment of chronic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system.

Technical characteristics of Wellwave:

WellWave allows the application of focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy. The device is controlled from the top panel of the operator's multifunctional control system and display unit. In this way, all device parameters can be adjusted and monitored accurately .

The therapeutic unit F7 G3 is intended for use in focused applications. The penetration depth is defined by the use of interchangeable gel pads with different thicknesses. The energy of the pressure pulses can be adjusted by 20 intensity levels. The pulse frequency can be varied from 1-8 Hz . High impulse frequencies can help minimize treatment times.

- Real focused shock waves based on piezoelectric technology.
- Precise treatment at the point of focus.
- Penetration depth defined by interchangeable gel pads.
- Immediate start of therapy through the operator's multifunctional control system and display unit.
- Application of controlled and painless energy with 20 intensity levels.
- Ergonomic and compact therapeutic unit.

What is shockwave therapy?

The energy of the shock waves is generated by several hundred piezoceramic crystals mounted on an applicator. The crystals are arranged in a mosaic form and are precisely aligned with the focus of the therapy. When excited by a high voltage pulse, the piezo-ceramic elements briefly expand a few micrometers along its axis, creating a shock wave .

A characteristic of piezoelectric shock waves is that they can be precisely focused to achieve maximum efficiency at the point of focus of therapy. The wide diameter and wide concomitant opening angle of the applicators ensure that the energy density on the skin surface is low, thereby minimizing pain on the skin surface.

Shockwave therapy is successfully used for the highly efficient and non-invasive treatment of chronic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system . A wide area of treatment is therapy for myofascial pain syndrome, muscle injuries, trigger points and chronic and acute sports injuries.
