Flossband: Easy Flossing short-term mobilizing bandage

Flossband by Sanctband is a natural rubber band that is 2 meters long and 5 cm wide and has to be approximately 4-7 times thicker compared to an average gym band . It is strong and wraps tightly around the part of the body to be treated or at the joint.

Sanctband , in collaboration with the renowned sports physiotherapist Sven Kruse , has developed this set of elastic bands comprising 4 different levels of intensity based on the concept of using the Flossband.

Why the use of Flossband?

Through various application possibilities, compression is exerted on the muscles of the band. The high fixation pressure allows an inhibitory effect on pain receptors and the underlying fascia and thus loosens adhesions and weak bonds. This is carried out by virtue of active and passive movement of the limb in which the band is wrapped.

When the silk band is released, the liquid ecstasy or blood ("bottleneck") ends and fresh blood hydrates the tissue (called the sponge technique). This leads to the relief of different types of pain.

When is Flossband used?

Flossband can be used preventively before and after sports. It is also a useful treatment method in physical therapy. The therapist uses Flossband, when pain restricts the movement of the athlete or patient.

Flossband improves the body's energy transmission pathways: it generates more power in the tissue, improves viscoelasticity and requires less energy for mobility due to axial transmission. Due to the resulting pain relief, patients and athletes are able to move significantly better and faster.

Four levels of Flossband:

- Flossband Level 1 : Easy / lime color 1.1 mm: ideal for elderly patients or patients with low tolerance or pain, for acute care after trauma to the shoulder.

- Flossband level 2 : Medium / blue color 1.3 mm: Next strongest band in the therapy sequence for the elderly patients or connective tissue therapy (to work different layers of tissue).

- Flossband level 3 : Strong / purple 1.6 mm: Third strongest band in the therapy sequence (highest level therapy in elderly patients), in strong muscles it allows regeneration.

- Flossband Level 4 : Very strong / 1.8mm gray color: allowed with a high proportion of muscle. Ideal for regeneration therapy.

The set developed in collaboration with renowned sports physiotherapist Sven Kruse consists of 4 different Flossband strengths. The different levels of resistance allow the generation of specific application levels for a differentiated stimulation of various deep tissue layers. Therefore, it is possible for the physical therapist to offer a specific and appropriate Flossband therapy. The 4 different flossband strengths also take into account the different tolerance limits of patients.
