Electroporation
Electroporation is a non-invasive alternative to conventional mesotherapy.
By electroporation it is temporarily altered the permeability of the plasma membrane which causes opening of intracellular channels and enabling the penetration of electroporated active.
Electroporation also opens extremely thin channels in the epidermis through the intercellular space lipids. This approach is perhaps the most important in the medical-aesthetic applications of this technology because it allows the passage of substances through the skin.
By applying an alternating current, what we do is move the cells of the outer layer of the skin, and this movement generates the opening and modification of spaces through which the diffusion of products through the skin is facilitated.
Electroporation makes physical rearrangement of skin cells. When alternating current electroporation (ie it permanently changes direction) we get this rearrangement is continuous, and it generates new pores and channels while current is active.
