Description

Easy-to-use, automatic, intuitive defibrillator with pacing alerts to enable rescue teams to act quickly and confidently in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency

The Powerheart G5 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is the first AED with multiple ramping variable energy levels and minimal shock delivery time . It allows to deliver shocks after the CPR procedure in as little as ten seconds. It is designed to treat life- threatening irregularities of the heartbeat , such as ventricular fibrillation, which causes sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

There are two models available , fully automatic and semi- automatic . After placing the defibrillation electrodes on the patient:

- Fully automatic model assesses heart rhythm and, if a shockable rhythm is detected, delivers a shock without rescuer assistance.

- Semi- automatic model assesses cardiac rhythm and requires the rescuer to press the shock button if a shockable cardiac rhythm is detected. Both models have on-screen text and voice prompts that guide the rescuer through the entire defibrillation process.

Strengths:

- Simple and safe use: Perform each step of the resuscitation with instructions provided by the RescueCoach™ voice and text prompts and an optional CPR feedback device. Electrodes can be placed on either side of the victim's chest and the Powerheart G5 only delivers an automatic shock when needed. After a rescue, extract the event data immediately through the USB port.

- Rugged and reliable: this AED is always ready for use should the need arise. In addition, its resistance has been tested according to the quality specifications of the military sector and has an IP55 level of protection against dust and water. The visible Rescue Ready® indicator provides confirmation that the G5 AED has passed rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests.

- Customizable now and flexible in the future: CPR prompts, shock protocols, and procedural information can be customized based on user knowledge and preferences, and settings can be easily updated if resuscitation guidelines change .

- Simple CPR instructions: real-time information allows rescuers to perform CPR procedures according to the latest guidelines for resuscitation.

- Advanced technology: Powerheart® G5 has been specially designed to act as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is always ready to respond appropriately in those cases where every second is of the essence. Plus, with customizable protocols and a feature for easy USB data transfer, it's the perfect fit for any rescue team.

- Maximum Confidence: This AED enables personalized therapy through variable escalating energy levels and synchronized shock delivery for a wide variety of patients and arrhythmia types. You can use another language during resuscitation with the push of a button. The rescue data will be quickly transferred via the USB device.

You can rest easy because the Powerheart G5 is built to last: it has a 7-year warranty , a robust indemnity policy, and a 4-year full operational performance warranty on Intellisense® non-rechargeable medical batteries.

Feel confident knowing that your AED provider has been the leader in AED technology for over 20 years and has helped distribute half a million Powerheart AEDs worldwide.

Defibrillation electrodes:

The AED comes with the defibrillation pads installed . The electrodes are stored in a sealed package, ready for use. The electrodes are self-adhesive and come with an attached cable and connector for current and ECG transmission.

The electrodes are disposable, dispose of them once used in a resuscitation.

The electrodes have a limited shelf life and should not be used after the expiration date. Always carry a pair of new and unopened electrodes plugged into the AED.

The AED can identify the type of electrode and its expiration date. The AED is compatible with the following electrode types:

- Adult

- Adult electrodes with CPR device.

- Pediatric electrodes

CPR device:

The CPR device is about the size of the palm of your hand.

Its non-slip surface and shape transfer the rescuer's compressions to the patient's chest. The CPR device (included with optional defibrillation electrodes with the CPR device) measures the depth and rate of chest compressions. The AED uses this information to guide the proper rate and depth of compression during CPR.

Note: The use of the CPR device is optional. If you do not plan to use the CPR device, place it on a surface next to the patient. DO NOT try to undock the device from its cable.
