Cleaning and sterilization instructions:

Non-immersion cleaning, as described below, should only be used for Riester loupes.

1) Wipe the outer surface with a clean, non-spill absorbent cloth moistened with a solution of water and detergent (2% detergent by volume) or a solution of water and isopropyl alcohol (70% IPA by volume). Avoid optical surfaces.

2) Make sure that excess solution does not enter the instrument. Take care to ensure that the cloth is not soaked in solution.

3) Surfaces should be hand dried using a clean dry non-shedding cloth.

4) Safely dispose of used cleaning materials.

5) The optical surfaces of the loupes are treated with an anti-reflective coating and should only be cleaned with the supplied lens cloth.

6) The loupe release lever, protective caps and 1D can be autoclaved for 3 minutes at 1341⁄4 c.

7) Carefully examine the magnifying glass to ensure that all visible dirt has been removed.

For further cleaning, preservation or repair, loupes should be returned to an authorized Riester dealer or to Riester directly.
