Description

The Therapic 9400 electrostimulator from Medical Italia is a device that manages to combine design and functionality in the same equipment. It is an innovative electrotherapy equipment with 4 completely independent channels, which works with all low and medium frequency waveforms, and the creation of the I/T Rheobase and chronaxy curve.

The Therapic 9400 device for electrostimulation has a 320x240 pixel color graphic screen with Touch&Scroll function, 100 memorized protocols, 200 memorizable in the internal memory and 80 on the Smart Card (optional, you can purchase it in the ''Spare parts and accessories for this product'') , operation in CC and VC mode, delivery of low and medium frequency currents and I/T curve.

Electrotherapy to the nth power:

Electrotherapy uses the biological effects obtained by electrical energy for therapeutic purposes and consists of electrical currents that pass through the part of the body concerned , taking care to choose certain suitable characteristics for the purposes to be achieved.

Electrotherapy is used to stimulate the denervated muscle , to reduce hypotrophy due to non-use of the normally innervated muscle, to maintain muscle trophism in the denervated or partially innervated muscle, to potentiate the innervated muscle .

The main effects of an electric current applied to a body tissue are represented by the excitomotor, thermal, trophic, analgesic and chemical effect.

Main effects of electrostimulation:

- Training of the neuromuscular system to respond appropriately during voluntary and involuntary effort by providing an active contraction (isometric, concentric and eccentric) and the resulting joint movements allowing proprioceptive feedback.

- Modulation of pain through the gate control mechanism or the mechanisms of descending inhibition (production of endogenous opioids).

- Control or reduction of spasticity through the stimulation of agonists (contract-relax), antagonists (reciprocal inhibition), or sensorimotor inhibition.

- Provide the transdermal delivery of medicinal substances into the skin (ionophoresis).

- Improve or maintain joint mobility through mechanical contraction of muscles or connective tissues or reduction of movement impediment from neuromuscular dysfunctions (for eg spasticity), pain or edema.

- Promote wound healing by increasing local circulation, providing a bactericidal effect or altering electrical charges in the injured area.

- Delay or resolve edema , through muscle pumping activity or the effect of electrical charges on proteins
