What you will learn:

GENERAL TEACHERS OBJECTIVE:

- To provide the physiotherapist with basic knowledge of the different foundations of percutaneous electrotherapy (dry electropuncture, electrolysis, neuromodulation, and electroacupuncture) to address the most common conditions using the technology of the APS e4 equipment.

SPECIFIC TEACHING OBJECTIVES:

- To provide students with knowledge about advances in invasive electrotherapy and its treatment through physiotherapy using the Agupunt APS e4 equipment.

- To provide the student with knowledge on how to use the APS e4 device.

- To provide the student with the knowledge of the effects and characteristics of galvanic current necessary for the application of percutaneous electrolysis.

- To provide students with knowledge of the latest advances in electrolysis applied to musculoskeletal soft tissue pathology.

- To provide students with knowledge of the anatomical areas where ultrasound-guided percutaneous electrolysis will be performed in the most common pathologies.

- To provide the student with the most up-to-date knowledge of percutaneous neuromodulation techniques.

- To provide the student with the necessary knowledge for the most common approaches and their treatment with percutaneous neuromodulation techniques.

- To provide the student with the most up-to-date knowledge of dry electroneedling techniques. – To provide the student with the necessary knowledge to address the most common trigger points and treat them with dry electroneedling.

Syllabus:

- Presentation of the APS e4, specifications, current type and different types of applications

- Introductory theory to different treatments, electrolysis, neuromodulation, electroacupuncture and dry electropuncture

- Practical demonstration of the different treatments
