Needle Color Guide:

The gauge of needles used in medicine is measured in Gauges. The scale is reverse and goes from the thickest needle 1G (12.7 mm) to the thinnest needle 36G (0.102 mm). Thus an 11 Gauge needle is 3 mm and is thicker than a 19G gauge which measures 1 mm. If the Gauges measure the width of the needle, the length is in millimeters.
