IMPORTANT! - FOR THE CORRECT OPERATION OF THE EQUIPMENT YOU MUST ACQUIRE THE EQUIPMENT AND AT LEAST ONE OF THE BANDS
The KAATSU B1 is the new generation of Kaatsu devices. A device that manages to multiply the results of occlusive training and that lands on the market sporting a lightweight design with a more than powerful interior, boasting enormous versatility and embracing the latest technologies, since through an application on a smartphone you can regulate the intensity of the training, its duration, the strength... and also, record your marks and create an online training calendar .
It has a mechanism that is as simple as it is effective. The KAATSU B1 precisely controls and monitors the pressure of the air bands to regulate the blood flow in the arms and legs in the most optimal way.
Thanks to this controlled local hypoxia , we will exercise with oxygen deficit, with only 20% or 30% of our maximum capacity. Thus, we will achieve benefits in muscle hypertrophy, muscle toning, recovery from efforts, rehabilitation, increased range of mobility in injuries and a substantial improvement in the elasticity of our veins.
In addition, the KAATSU B1 device can be regulated at different intensity levels for each individual and well-differentiated training programs can be established: muscle, sports, rehabilitation, etc.
Strengths:
- You can control the intensity of your workout, the duration, the strength, and any other parameter from your mobile phone. In addition, you can create a training calendar on your mobile phone and record your times.
- It is the latest generation of Kaatsu devices.
- Lightweight, robust and water resistant (not submersible in water). So you can train with the device monitoring the pressure of the bands constantly.
- "Continuous" and "cycle" working modes (6 cycles)
- You can work without connection to the device in "continuous" mode, so you can immerse the bands in water for pool work.
- Very easy to use.
- You can work on only one limb.
- Rechargeable batteries.
- Bands available in different sizes. (S, M, L, XL)
Occlusion training:
Occlusive training or Kaatsu is a training technique that has gained special importance in recent years. The technique was created in Japan by Yoshiaki Sato in 1966, developed and popularized in the 1980s and is based on restricting blood flow. Vascular occlusion is a maneuver that reduces the supply of oxygen (local hypoxia), nutrients and metabolic clearance of the muscles subjected to such effort that it substantially increases physiological stress, especially at the metabolic level.
To temporarily restrict blood flow to the affected muscles, bands are used in the area closest to the extremities (arms and legs) that you want to train, which induces a situation of local hypoxia. This is such an unmistakable characteristic that makes it different from other existing neuromuscular training methods or techniques.
How do you achieve such good results?
The Kaatsu method has the potential to increase muscle strength and size . This way of training requires lighter loads, at 20-30% of your maximum repetition (1RM) until muscular failure while restricting blood flow in the muscle group being exercised.
Kaatsu training's impressive ability to enhance muscle development while using light weights is due in part to the activation of fast-twitch muscle fibers with less load and less central nervous system fatigue. This technique depletes the levels of oxygen available to the muscle being worked due to the restriction in blood flow.
The reduction in available oxygen causes muscle cells to produce energy without oxygen, or anaerobically, which preferentially activates fast-twitch cells rather than slow-twitch ones. Because fast-twitch fibers have greater strength potential, stimulating them gives the Kaatsu method greater ability to develop strength.
The key role of Kaatsu training in elevating growth hormone was demonstrated in a study conducted by Dr. Y. Takarada. The research involved six young men performing five sets of leg extensions at 20% of their 1RM to failure, with a 30-second rest period, and having their blood flow restricted to the muscle group they were working.
Growth hormone concentration increased 290 times more than before exercise. These findings show that Kaatsu training can trigger a strong endocrine response, stimulating growth hormone production and thus supporting muscle growth.
Who is it for?
KAATSU B1 is being used by athletes and users of all ages, abilities and fitness levels in Asia, Europe and America in order to gain muscle strength, muscle hypertrophy, increase range of motion and improve athletic performance.
Their products are used by Japanese, Chinese and American Olympic gold medalists (including Justin Gatlin, Ted Ligety and Todd Lodwick), world champions, professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL), military personnel , NASA astronauts to recover in the best possible way from the atrophy caused by space travel, people undergoing rehabilitation and the elderly since it is a low-weight training.
Main benefits of Kaatsu:
- Recruitment of fast-twitch or type 1 or glycolytic fibers with less fatigue of the central nervous system, by working with 20 - 30% of your RM.
- Increase in the levels of growth hormone , GH, and IGF-1 due to the accumulation of metabolites such as lactate when working in oxygen demand anaerobically.
- Production of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) that increase the activation and proliferation of satellite muscle cells , key to muscle growth.
- Training with vascular occlusion produces a cross effect, when training one limb through occlusion the opposite limb benefits from the increase in strength and size.
- Although the effect is eminently local (at the level of the restricted muscle), a "contagion" of the effect towards other groups involved in a compound exercise has been demonstrated. Thus, although due to the nature of the method we must limit the use of tourniquets to the extremities (arm, thighs, calves...) the adjacent muscle groups seem to experience additional development .
- Kaatsu training is capable of generating great local fatigue due to hypoxia in less time than through traditional techniques of congestion and constant tension, the foundations of traditional bodybuilding, with which it can be compared.
- It is particularly interesting in rehabilitation therapies or unloading phases in a periodized plan, as it uses very light weights that do not stress ligaments and joints. For this reason, it has also been used successfully to prevent atrophy in astronauts and elderly people.
Features of occlusion training:
- Training frequency: 1 session per day 2 to 3 times per week.

- Execution speed: 2:2
- Total session time: 10 to 15 m.

Size Guide:
How to take the measurement correctly:
ARMS: Measure the circumference above the biceps and triceps, just below the deltoid. That is, the most proximal area of the arm.
LEGS: Sit on the edge of a chair and measure the circumference of your upper leg, along your groin, as high as possible in the groin.
Arms:
Small: Less than 18 centimeters
Medium: 18 - 28 centimeters
Extra large: over 38 cm
Legs:
Small: Less than 40 centimeters
