Description
IMPORTANT! - FOR THE EQUIPMENT TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY, YOU MUST PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT AND AT LEAST ONE SET OF BELTS.
The KAATSU C4 is the fourth generation of the KAATSU Cycle product, ideal for individuals, trainers, personal trainers, chiropractors, physical therapists, and caregivers. Its patented Cycle and Constant modes, along with the KAATSU AirBands , make it a robust and water-resistant device that is extremely versatile and can be safely used anywhere, anytime—even in rain, snow, mud, dust, and sand—for recovery , rehabilitation, hypertrophy , and athletic performance enhancement . It is suitable for people of all ages, fitness levels, and lifestyles.
Occlusion training:
Occlusion training, or Kaatsu, is a training technique that has gained significant prominence in recent years. Created in Japan by Yoshiaki Sato in 1966, it was further developed and popularized in the 1980s and is based on restricting blood flow. Vascular occlusion is a maneuver that reduces the supply of oxygen (local hypoxia), nutrients, and metabolic clearance to the muscles subjected to such exertion that it substantially increases physiological stress, especially at the metabolic level.
To temporarily restrict blood flow to the affected muscles, bands are used on the areas closest to the limbs (arms and legs) that you wish to train, which induces a situation of local hypoxia, this characteristic being so unmistakable that it makes it different from the rest of the existing neuromuscular training methods or techniques.
How does he achieve such good results?
The Kaatsu method can potentially increase strength and muscle size. This training method requires lighter loads, at 20-30% of your one-repetition maximum (1RM), to muscle failure while simultaneously restricting blood flow to the muscle group being exercised.
The impressive ability of Kaatsu training to enhance muscle development while using light weights is due in part to the activation of fast-twitch muscle fibers with less load and less central nervous system fatigue. This technique depletes the oxygen levels available to the working muscle due to restricted blood flow.
The reduction in available oxygen forces muscle cells to produce energy without oxygen, or anaerobically, preferentially activating fast-twitch muscle fibers over slow-twitch fibers. Since fast-twitch fibers have a greater potential for strength, stimulating them gives the Kaatsu method a greater capacity for developing strength.
The key role of Kaatsu training in raising growth hormone levels was demonstrated in a study conducted by Dr. Y. Takarada. The research involved six young men who performed five sets of leg extensions at 20% of their 1RM to failure, with a 30-second rest period, while blood flow to the working muscle group was restricted.
Growth hormone concentration increased 290 times compared to before exercise. These findings show that Kaatsu training can trigger a strong endocrine response, stimulating growth hormone production and thus supporting muscle growth.
Who is it aimed at?
KAATSU is being used by athletes and users of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels in Asia, Europe, and America in order to gain muscle strength, muscle hypertrophy, increase range of motion, and improve athletic performance.
Their products are used by Japanese, Chinese and American Olympic gold medalists (including Justin Gatlin, Ted Ligety and Todd Lodwick), world champions, professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL), military personnel, NASA astronauts to recover in the best possible way from the atrophy caused by space travel, people in rehabilitation and the elderly since it is a low-weight training.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training and Rehabilitation
Benefits:
● Pneumatic compression bands help during exercise to create greater metabolic stress (lactic acid) with less mechanical tension (lighter weights) and less muscle damage (gentler training) necessary for muscle development, avoiding the risk of injury or relapses in injuries .
● Recruitment of fast or type 1 or glycolytic fibers with less fatigue of the central nervous system, when working with 20-30% of your 1RM.
● Produces a strong endocrine response of Growth Hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) necessary for the development of hard tissues (bones, tendons and ligaments) and soft tissues (muscles).
● Increase strength and muscle mass with lighter weights.
● Eliminates or minimizes muscle atrophy during rehabilitation or while in bed.
● It strengthens the endothelial tissue of our blood vessels, improving their elasticity, blood circulation, and blood pressure.
● Optimizes the storage and use of fat tissue , improving your health and appearance.
● Improves endurance and balance.
● Vascular occlusion training produces a cross-effect; when one limb is trained by occlusion, the opposite limb benefits from the increase in strength and size .
● Although the effect is primarily local (at the level of the restricted muscle), a " contagion" of the effect has been demonstrated to other muscle groups involved in a compound exercise. Adjacent muscle groups appear to experience additional development.
● Kaatsu training is capable of generating great local fatigue through hypoxia in less time than through traditional congestion and constant tension techniques , the foundations of traditional bodybuilding, with which it can be compared.
● It is particularly useful in rehabilitation therapies or during unloading phases in a periodized training plan, as it uses very light weights that do not stress ligaments and joints. For this reason, it has also been used successfully to prevent atrophy in astronauts and elderly people.
