Description

PhysioSensing is part of a new generation of products for physical rehabilitation, improvement of balance and postural health that are based on state-of-the-art technology. The VERTIGO FUERZA version will become the best solution for both patients and health professionals since it comes equipped with a stabilometric platform and exclusive balancing software with which exhaustive physical analyzes can be carried out based on different points how:

The equilibrium:
Platform that shows the center of body mass weight on a screen. Assessment of clinical balance helps to avoid fall risks, and to determine the underlying reasons for balance disorders. The benefits of using force platforms for balance assessment come from their ability to measure Center of Pressure (CoP).

Baropodometry:
The plantar pressure map is a method of measuring pressures on the surface of the foot whether in a standing position or in motion. The static and dynamic analysis is carried out on a baropodometric platform, through which the pressure exerted by the feet is measured either in the standing position or while walking.

Posturography:
Computerized posturography systems use force platforms to measure a patient's sway by determining instantaneous center of pressure (CoP) movements. The collected CoP data can be visualized through a statokinesiogram and stabilogram.

Visual biofeedback:
Visual biofeedback (BV) is a rehabilitation method that can be used during static balance training, providing the patient with visual feedback on the position of the center of gravity when the patient is standing on a platform. VB stimulates motivation, proprioceptive information, simulates body movements and provides valuable information for the healthcare professional.

Force platform:

The Physiosensing stabilometric platform is a fundamental technology for the clinical practice of balance disorders. The platform includes high-end technology that achieves extreme CoP precision and a high level of sensitivity.

Balance software:

Balance software is a powerful balance training and assessment tool. Within the analysis area, the software is capable of evaluating:

mCTSIB - Modified Sensory Integration and Balance Clinical Test and Romberg test
This protocol allows the measurement of static equilibrium in four sensory conditions: stable surface and open eyes; stable surface and closed eyes; unstable surface and eyes open and unstable surface and eyes closed.

Body rocking
You can create a custom posturography. Define the initial conditions and obtain the variation of CoP, ML and AP over time. It also includes more than 30 parameters derived from a posturographic examination that includes Fourier analysis.

Stability limits (LOS)
Perhaps the most widely used protocol for balance assessment. This protocol quantifies directional control and the maximum distance that the patient can reach with their center of pressure in 8 different directions.

Falling risk
To measure static balance in four conditions: comfortable posture with eyes open and eyes closed, use narrow posture with eyes open and closed. After executing the swing speed index value appears and provides a prediction of the risk of falling

Rhythmic weight shift
Use the (Rhythmic Weight Shift) protocol to assess the ability to transfer the center of pressure rhythmically in the sagittal and anteroposterior planes, at three different speeds.

One-sided stance
To measure balance in four conditions: left foot raised with eyes open, left foot raised with eyes closed, right foot raised with eyes open, and right foot raised with eyes closed.

Balance Error Scoring System
The BESS protocol allows measuring postural stability with eyes closed in three different positions on two types of surface (firm and unstable): two feet together, unipodal and tandem position.

The software does not stop at the mere evaluation of balance, but proposes a series of exercises to improve body balance with training. They would be the following:

- In the sagittal and anteroposterior exercises , the patient must reach the equilibrium position in the sagittal plane or in the anteroposterior plane.

- In the cobweb, tunnel, dot pattern, and bar pattern exercises , the goal is to maintain a balanced position despite visual stimulation.

- In the Route Bars, Route Spiral, Route Square and Route Maze exercises the objective is to travel the routes within their limits with the pressure center, following the red dots.

- In the Square, Circle, Eight and Spiral exercises , the patient must reach all the points arranged in the way indicated in the name.

- In the exercises Follow the point and Moving route , the objective is to reach the moving red point and follow it within its tolerance range.
