Electrode Care:
Are the electrodes reusable? How many times can the same electrodes be used?
Electrode life depends on application, storage, humidity, and user care
- Application: The skin must be clean (soap and water) must not have residues of lotions, oils, makeup or dead skin. Residues on the skin can be transferred to the electrode gel compromising good adhesion. A clean surface is an important factor in the number of possible applications, useful life, of the electrodes.
- Storage: After each use the electrode must be placed back on the plastic sheet. They should be stored in the original reusable bag to prevent moisture loss. The electrodes must be stored at a temperature between 5.0° and 27.0ºC with humidity of 35-50%.
- DO NOT: Store in the freezer/refrigerator, do not leave at extreme temperatures. Do not immerse in water or abrasive material to clean them. Do not leave out of the original package.
The number of applications, useful life, will depend entirely on the good use, storage and care by the user. It must be verified that the adhesiveness and adherence of the gel are preserved in order to continue using them, otherwise they must be replaced.
Are the electrodes disposable?
Yes. When the electrodes show wear from use, or are no longer comfortable for the patient, simply replace them with new ones.
Can it be used for more than one patient?
The electrodes are designed for single patient use. If you share electrodes, you are subject to contamination (spreading). All the electrodes are disposable, that is, they should be thrown away after they no longer adhere or after finishing the treatment and use new ones.
Do the electrodes contain latex?
They are latex free. No type of latex is used in the manufacture or packaging of the electrodes.
How is an electrode removed from the skin?
Always pick up the electrodes from the edge, not the cable.
Se adhieren muy bien y se pueden reutilizar si se cuidan
