The Shaker Classic is an effective and very easy-to-use respiratory device that promotes the mobilization and increased expectoration of mucus from the airways.

The " Shaker " is a high-frequency oscillation unit. When exhaled orally through the Shaker, it generates vibratory effects associated with positive expiratory pressure (PEP). This mobilizes and releases pulmonary secretions (mucus), facilitating their elimination.

1-High Frequency Oscillation that leads to a change in the rheological properties of the mucus with a decrease in its viscoelasticity, and shearing actions of the air-mucus interface that are an important factor in increasing the clearance of secretions.

2-Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP). This increased pressure transmitted to the airways prevents them from collapsing prematurely during expiration; this effect, combined with the prolongation of expiration, also appears to be able to mobilize mucus proximally.
