Tanita BC601 Scale: Dual Frequency Technology for More Accurate Measurements

The Tanita BC601 Scale for body analysis with segments has a memory card that allows the results to be recorded on a computer. Its dual frequency technology guarantees greater precision compared to single frequency technology.

The Tanita BC601 scale measures body composition thanks to a low frequency signal that safely travels through the entire body, from the base of the scale. This signal circulates freely through the fluid in muscle tissue until it meets the resistance of fat tissue. This resistance, called bioimpedance, is accurately measured and its results are contrasted based on the person's sex, height and weight to calculate the fat index and body composition in a personalized way.

Electrical resistance is measured 5 times in different parts of the body (foot to foot, hand to hand, left hand to right foot, right hand to left foot, and left hand to left foot). Its technology allows it to cover 100% of the body surface while the other scales measure only 75%, which allows greater precision, especially for athletes and people whose body constitution is different from the standard model.

This bioimpedance scale calculates the percentage of fat mass and muscle mass in kilograms for each arm, leg and the entire trunk.
