What is bipolar radiofrequency and cavitation?

Bipolar radiofrequency is a high-intensity, high-frequency alternating current transfer that generates a localized increase in temperature and cellular biostimulation. This helps the regeneration of tissues and the drainage of retained liquids. Being bipolar, both electrodes in the same manipulation, we get a job in the most superficial layers of the dermis.

Cavitation is a low-frequency ultrasound that stimulates lipolysis of fatty tissue in order to locally reduce our body fat.

Cavitation treatment protocol:

Cavitation treatments are designed to be performed on the body, not for facials. It is advisable to follow the following protocol:

- The professional must carry out the prior evaluation of the client.

- Make the photographic record and take measurements of the contours with a centimeter and measure the adiposity with a caliper to verify that it is within the parameters indicated for the use of cavitation (≥ 4cm).

- The area to be treated is marked.

- A sufficient amount of transparent conductive gel is applied as thick as possible and the cavitation handle is brought closer to the skin. Depending on the area to be treated, the protocol to follow will be different.

- The movement of the handpiece must be constant without stopping at any time, or leaving the handpiece fixed in an area, as it could run the risk of causing burns.

- To work the abdomen, the client will be placed supine and the handpiece will be inclined at 45 degrees, so that it does not affect the organs directly.

- The client will be placed on the lateral ulna to work the waist, flanks and lateral part of the thighs.

- For thighs and arms the handpiece will be supported perpendicularly.

- During any treatment, the handpiece must not lose contact with the skin.

Treatment protocol with facial radiofrequency:

- Before the facial Radiofrequency session, it is important to remove makeup, any type of cream, oil or sunscreen.

- To carry out the treatment, the client must not have metal parts near the area to be worked (earrings, jewelry).

- The use of glycerin, creams or ionizable ampoules, special for radiofrequency, which can be diluted in conductive gel, is recommended. Do not apply conductive gel only, as being very watery it transmits more heat and could cause a burn.

- Once the transmission product has been placed, the movement of the handle begins, which must be constant and upward.

- The intensity of the heat will be to the tolerance of the client, and always from less to more, producing a pleasant heat.

- The duration of a session will be 10 minutes maximum 20 minutes.

- They can be done from 5 to 10 sessions, 1 time a week or every 15 days, depending on the results we want to obtain and the type of skin, this will determine the treatment and the number of sessions necessary.

- At the end of the session, you can place a moisturizing or refreshing cream and some masks to complement the treatment.

- When the person reaches his goal, maintenance sessions can be carried out.
