The Classic III Littmann® 3M is the latest version of the stethoscope that helps millions of medical professionals achieve their best. The Classic III model offers high acoustic sensitivity for exceptional performance, plus a versatile, dual-sided chestpiece with tunable diaphragms.

The Littmann Classic III is used by medical students and professionals alike to identify, listen to, and study heart, lung, and other body sounds for physical assessment, patient monitoring, and diagnosis.

The tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—allows clinicians to listen to different frequencies and sounds simply by adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low-frequency sounds; press a little harder to hear higher-frequency sounds. This time-saving feature allows the healthcare professional to focus on the patient, while the non-cold diaphragm provides patient comfort.

The headphone tension is easily adjusted for head size and comfort by moving the ear tubes closer together or further apart. The soft-sealing, securely hooking ear tips mold to individual ears for an excellent acoustic seal and a comfortable fit. The ear tips fit snugly over the ends of the ear tubes and, for safety, require significant effort to remove.

The next-generation durable tubing retains its shape and flexibility even after being tightly folded in a pocket. It provides a longer lifespan for the stethoscope due to improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and is less prone to staining.

The new generation of tubing is not made with natural rubber latex, a benefit for medical professionals and sensitive patients. And, to fulfill their role in protecting human health and the environment, the new generation of tubing does not contain phthalate plasticizers.

The Classic III stethoscope is manufactured in the USA for consistent quality. It comes with large and small soft-sealing eartips, a non-chill bell sleeve, and instructions.
